Remember to continue inc for the gusset.
Now it´s time to start the roositud pattern. Make sure the pattern is centered on the back of the hand. All sts on the back need to be on one needle.
Here is how to knit roositud, an Estonian knitting technique. You can use a thicker yarn for the inlay or double strands of a thinner yarn. I´m using strands of Karisma. To start with you will cut 3 strands about 80-90 cm. One red and two blue (or your colour choise). Start with the red one.
Here are two rnds of the roositudpattern.
When there are 22 sts in the thumbgusset, knit 2 rnds and then place the 22 sts on a holder or thread. CO (cast on) 10 sts over thumbhole using loops.
