This year it´s going to be a little bit different. There will be one clue every other day: first in English and the day after in Swedish. So if you don´t want to wait you will try to knit reading English.
Very soon you will know what it´s going to be but you don´t know what it would look like. Sometimes my English isn´t the most correct but that isn´t the piont with this Christmas-knitting. I hope you understand that.
Now you can start. To begin with you have to make a provisional cast on. Take your crochethook and a piece of waste yarn. I´m using cottonyarn in a colour different from the colour I´m going to knit with. Here is how to do it. Cast on 60 sts (stitches) or 66 sts. What number you chose depends of the the size of your hands. I have 66 sts.
And know I must reveal what you are going to knit: It will be a pair of gloves. If you don´t have knitted gloves before you will see that it isn´t so difficult after all.
After the cast on you will start knitting with MC (main colour) using dpns or magic loop. I´m using dpns. (Should it be dpns? Yes!) (dpn = double point needle)
Knit 15 sts on each needle if you have 60 sts (16,17,16,17 sts if you have 66 sts). Tie a knot with the ends of the waste yarn and start knitting in rounds. Knit two more rows.Tomorrow you will get this in Swedish. Good Luck.
